Worcester Theatres has kicked off the festive season this year with the fairy godmother of pantomimes Cinderella, directed by Ian Good and performed by the Worcester Repertory Company, and audiences can’t get enough!

After the wonderful success of last year’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, Worcester Theatres are thrilled to have seen even more audiences join them at the Swan Theatre for Cinderella. Worcester Theatres pride themselves on producing a family-friendly, affordable and high-quality pantomime that can be enjoyed by all members of the community - and judging by these reviews that’s exactly what they have accomplished.

After attending, Worcester News said that

“If the true magic and sparkle of local panto could be bottled up and bought, then the Worcester Rep’s Cinderella would be a bestseller.”

Theatre reviewer Tim Crow, from Behind The Arras had this to say after watching Cinderella -

“This excellent production is professional, slick and ticks all the boxes for a light-hearted and satisfying show!”

Family event promoter, Raring2Go said their

“favourite part was of course watching the kids’ reactions, smiles and laughter throughout. You simply cannot beat it.”

Discover Worcester also got involved in the festive fun saying

“It’s everything you want from a panto; bawdy dames, good old sing-songs, kids roaring at the stage, and a Buttons who steals the show!”

Worcester Theatres’ has received incredible feedback from all their audiences since Cinderella began:

“Absolutely fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed it.”

“It’s the best thing I have seen at the Swan Theatre!”

“Thank you for serving us up a cracker of a pantomime!”

“It is an amazing show. Jaw-dropping, talented cast!”

Ian Good, director and not to mention one-half of the wicked stepsister duo, said

“It has been fantastic to be a part of The Worcester Reps’ Cinderella, and the Worcester Theatres team have been a joy to work with. Thank you to everyone that has come to support the show so far, you’ve been incredible and we really hope you enjoyed it. It’s amazing to be associated with such a successful run, and I hope the Worcester Rep continues to go onto the same success in the New Year!”.

With positive reviews flying in from all angles, Cinderella seems to fit like a glass slipper for audiences searching for a great pantomime this year.
