The Swan Theatre is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year and we have set ourselves the whopping target of raising £60,000 in the next 12 months to support some of the really important projects we run at the venue whilst also hopefully enabling us to make vital improvements to our facilities that we feel have been overlooked recently. We believe our venue deserves better and we are committed to making these changes happen, but we need your help!

Here’s what we would like to raise the money for:
- £500 will top up our bursary pot, providing free spaces in our youth theatre for children whose families are in receipt of benefits, so that they can attend our youth theatre on a fully funded free place.
- £3000 will enable us to build meaningful relationships between the Swan Theatre and local schools across Worcester enabling us to offer drama based workshops, developing confidence, supporting wellbeing and bolstering the national shortage of funded drama provision.
- £6,500 will support us in making important venue improvements, refreshing staff office spaces and rejuvenating backstage areas so we can support our team in their work and wellbeing, and welcome brilliant artists and community groups to spaces at the Swan Theatre which are fit for purpose.
- £15,000 will enable us to make changes to our current staff kitchen, adding an additional accessible toilet to the Swan Theatre ensuring that all our patrons and participants who need this facility can access it when our current accessible toilet is inaccessible during performance times.
- £35,000 will enable us to install a platform lift ensuring our patrons with limited mobility can access our seating upstairs, whilst also enabling us to support and expand our youth theatre, adult workshops and participation classes so that people with limited mobility and access needs can also benefit from creative participation.
Please support us to make these important changes to our Swan Theatre if you can, any donatin no matter the size will help us make a real difference in our community.
