Whether your interest lies in acting and performing, production, backstage or if you’ve not quite worked out what your thing is yet – the Young Rep is the perfect place for you to discover what’s next for you!
You’ll be an important part of our Worcester REP Company, working alongside and learning from our highly skilled team as we strive to make excellent shows for our community.
Each year the Young REP work on both main-stage and studio productions, giving members the opportunity to gain experience in a professional working theatre, whilst also making contacts in the industry for the next stage of their careers.
For over 50 years, thousands of young people have trod the boards at the Swan Theatre and many members of the Young Rep have gone on to study at some of the UK’s most prestigious Drama schools, and have had incredible careers in performing arts, theatre, radio, TV, and film.
The Young REP has a reputation for producing high quality performances at a professional standard and have had roaring success in the last few years. They have performed at the Worcester Fringe Festival with three different original plays (The Will to Live 2021, CTRL DEL 2022, The Unknown 2023); toured their production of Hunt (2022) to The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff as part of the National Theatre’s Connections 2022, and have also taken part in Connections 2023 and 2024 by performing Samphire and The Periodicals on the Swan Theatre main stage. They have also performed in our professional Worcester Rep productions of Antigone (2022) and Romeo & Juliet (2023). Check out our Gallery below to see production shots of our Young REP in action!
