Box Office & Ticket queries

The time stated in your booking confirmation details & on your ticket is the time the performance starts, not the time the venue or doors to the auditorium open.

The venue itself will be open 1 hour before the show begins, and the doors to the auditorium will usually be open 30 minutes before the show starts. The box office opens 45 minutes before a show.

Tickets can be purchased on the door when there are seats still available for that performance, though we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment and to ensure you have your desired seats. Worcester Theatres can not guarantee tickets will be available to purchase on the door, all ticket sales are subject to availability.

You can can print off your tickets at home, but it is not essential. Tickets can be shown on your phone when you get to the theatre, as long as the show date, time and seat information are visible on your phone/device this is your ‘e-ticket’.

All tickets are non-refundable unless insured (see below). However, an exchange to another performance may be possible as long as you contact the Box Office at least 24 hours prior to the event. Please be aware no credits or exchanges can be made after the event has taken place. In some exceptions credit may be offered, at the discretion of the Box Office.

An option for ticket insurance is available when you purchase any ticket. The insurance will cover you should you need a refund due to illness or extenuating circumstances.

A booking fee of £3.50 (per transaction, not per ticket) applies for all telephone and internet sales. There are no booking fees for in person sales at the Box Office.

Should a show be cancelled, we will do our very best to contact you straight away using the contact details we have available. Please ensure when booking that you have provided the best up to date contact information for our Box Office team to notify you of any changes or cancellations to any events. If a show is cancelled, you will recieve a full refund. The option of adding this as credit to your account is also available. In the event the show is postponed and rescheduled, the box office will offer you a refund or an exchange to the new date of the performance.

A pre-payment plan can be arranged by contacting the Box Office directly. They will help you add credit to your account each month, of however much money you decide. The tickets will be held on reserve for you until the total amount has been achieved.

Under 2s don’t need tickets and can visit free of charge as long as they can sit with you. Though should you need a seat for a child, then that must be paid for.

Group bookings of more than 10 people will receive one free ticket for every 10 purchased, making the 11th ticket free of charge; this can be redeemed directly through the Box Office. Please bear in mind no discounts apply to Hirer events (indicated with a H symbol).

Tickets for carers are complimentary. You can book a carer ticket through our Box Office and online. Online bookings are limited to one wheelchair user and one companion so if you need to book more than this, please call our Box Office on 01905611427. See more details on how to book carer tickets online under ‘How do I book wheelchair spaces, can I do it online?’ in the Accessibility FAQ’s.

Yes! Student tickets are available 30 minutes before a performance starts, at a reduced rate of £5 on the door. This is subject to availability and you must have a valid student ID (including a date) with you. Please bear in mind no discounts apply to Hirer events (indicated with a H symbol).

Hirer events are organised by external hirers and Worcester Theatres accepts no responsibility for the artistic content of hirers’ events. Hirer events will have a small red H symbol in our brochure and on our website.

Relaxed performances: Our Relaxed Performances are suitable for everyone but tailored to those who would benefit from a more relaxed and easy-going environment. We have an open-door policy so patrons are free to come and go from the auditorium as they please. The house lights in the auditorium will be on so you can see and move with ease. The sound will be adjusted to more comfortable levels with less intensity. The characters are introduced at the beginning of the performance so the audience can become more familiar with them, making it easier to follow along.

On a whole the ‘Theatre Etiquette’ is much more relaxed at these performances; patrons can do what suits them best and our friendly House managers and volunteers are always on hand to help support your needs.

Audio Described: Our Audio Described performance is exactly the same as our other performances but with extra provisions for people who are blind or partially sighted. Headsets will be available to those that need them, which provide an audible description of the action taking place on stage so that you can follow along with what is happening. You can pick up your headphones on the night, just let our Box Office know in advance how many you need and we can ensure there are plenty available.

Dementia Friendly: Similar to our Relaxed performances, our Dementia Friendly performance is suitable for all but designed to support those living with Dementia, their families and carers. We have an open-door policy so patrons are free to come and go from the auditorium as and when they please. The house lights in the auditorium will be on so you can see and move with ease. The sound will be adjusted to more comfortable levels with less intensity. Similar to the above, the ‘Theatre Etiquette’ is much more relaxed at these performances; patrons can do what suits them best and our friendly House managers and volunteers are always on hand to help support your needs. Carers also go free to our Dementia Friendly performances.

BSL (British Sign Language Interpreted): Our BSL Interpreted performances are suitable for everyone but with extra provisions for those who are deaf, have hearing loss and those who use British Sign Language. A BSL interpreter will be visible on the side of the stage interpreting the words and songs live throughout the performance.
