Following their sold-out production at The Sociable Beer Company in 2023, and performed by two STAC Alumni, Aspect Theatre are delighted to partner with their former amateur company and bring a pair of these classic Alan Bennett monologues to The Swan Studio:

A Bed Among the Lentils: Susan is a vicar’s wife suffocated by the expectations forced on her by her position. In frustration, she embarks on an affair with the owner of the off-licence she frequents in Leeds.
A Chip in the Sugar: Graham, a middle-aged bachelor chronically dependent on his mother, has his old insecurities flare up when she meets an old flame who she seems intent on marrying.
