Our most excellent comedy club continues to delight and this months line-up is no exception.

Delivering the superb stand-up comedy will be Sarah Johnson, David Eagle, Alexander Bennett and headlined by Dinesh Nathan! Do note line up is subject to change.

Dinesh Nathan

After winning several gong shows, Dinesh won the South Coat Comedian of the Year and was a finalist at the Komedia New Act competition and the coveted Leicester ercury Comedian of the Year. In 2022 Dinesh appeared on BBC 3’s New Comedians of the Year awards and Comedy Central Live. Described as a ‘mix of high-spirited delivery with a sarcastic self-deprecating viewpoint’, he is a bulletproof and relentless act has been named as ‘one to watch’. Tour support for Kerry Godliman, Seann Walsh, Nathan Caton, Suzi Ruffell and Fern Brady.

Sarah Johnson

A fun, lively and stand-out act who always is a great addition to any line-up. In 2017 she was voted ‘Best Midlands Comedy Breakthrough Act’ as well as receiving a nomination for ‘Best New Show’ at Leicester Comedy Festival, she has continued to leave audiences in stitches up and down the country. A proud and fierce mother and wife, Sarah harnesses the energy of the stresses of being organised and multitasking whilst funnelling it through the reality that our bodies and modern life are gross and therefore should be laughed at through a microphone to strangers.

‘Was the star of the night’ NCF Comedy

‘Terrific, bulletproof material’ Chortle

Alexander Bennett’s comedy has been variously described as dark, silly, filthy and thoughtful. He has numerous Edinburgh Fringe runs under his belt, has filmed several standup specials and he created the cult hit comedy game show Hell To Play. He has recently started his new podcast Born Yesterday with comedian Andy Barr.

David Eagle

Since 2005, David Eagle has been a member of three-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning band The Young'uns , well-known for their comedy, with the Guardian writing in their 5 star review: "a rampant humour which occasionally makes them appear more like standup comedians, mercilessly mocking one another and involving the audience at every turn ..."

"The Young’uns were bravely emotional but also very funny, thanks to the constant banter from Eagle ..."

David is blind, and his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, common place events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs, such as his George Formby parody, described bythe Guardian as "a comic tour de force."
