Let's have a look at some of our 2025 monthly highlights!

March & April

In Spring 2025, The Young Rep performed Brian Play on the Swan Theatre stage, written by ChloĆ« Lawrence-Taylor and Paul Sirett for the 30th NT Connections Youth Theatre Festival. The NT Connections festival, led by the National Theatre, provides the opportunity for thousands of young people to perform in theatres across the UK from a selection of 10 new plays written by developing and professional writers. Looking forward to 2026, we will be hosting NT Connections Festival 2026 on Mon 30 March to Wed 1 April 2026 join us at the Swan Theatre for 3 days of exciting new work performed by the theatre makers of the future!

June

In June, Worcester Theatres held the Summer of 65 event celebrating the Swan Theatre’s 60th anniversary from its opening in 1965. Featuring performances from local talented performers and organisations who performed on the Swan Theatre stage, this fabulous show raised money for our 60th anniversary fundraiser.

Our 60th anniversary fundraiser was launched on World Theatre Day in March 2025 with aims to raise £60,000 in just 12 months. This fundraiser will support future projects to make our venues more accessible, update our facilities, and support young people’s access to the performing arts. All donations will support a celebration of the theatre’s six decades of commitment to nurturing and showcasing talent in drama, music, dance, comedy and spoken word in Worcester.
