Butoh Dance Class

Dive into the 'dance of darkness'

Movement practitioner Dr Daniel Somerville will be teaching weekly classes on the Japanese dance technique, Butoh. A contemporary dance that originated in Japan and is sometimes known as the dance of darkness, Butoh delves into memory and poetic images to create choreography. No previous experience required, just bring yourself, some comfortable clothing and a desire to dance!

Sessions will take place at the Swan Theatre (The Moors, Worcester, WR1 3ED) on Wednesdays from 7pm - 9pm

Prices start at £7 per session, and you can book ahead or pay on the day. Please note, paying for classes online will include an automatic booking fee but this will not be included if you pay directly with our Box Office over the phone or in person.

Absolutely no experience is required, and please ensure you wear comfortable clothing.
