Worcester Theatres Appoints New Board Members Rob Richards and Jan Vale

Worcester Theatres has announced the appointment of two new members to its board of charity trustees. At a board meeting held on Friday 19 June 2026, Rob Richards and Jan Vale were elected as trustees of Worcester Theatres Charitable Trust.
Worcester Theatres is a registered charity dedicated to breaking down barriers and making the arts more accessible. Worcester Theatres operates Huntingdon Hall and the Swan Theatre, presenting a programme of touring productions alongside work created by its in-house Worcester Repertory Company.
Rob Richards, Trustee at Worcester Theatres said, “Having grown up in Worcester, I have many fond memories of visiting Worcester Theatres’ venues with my family. As a Chartered Accountant, my professional expertise is in finance. In recent years, I have supported the Board on a voluntary basis by providing additional financial analysis to assist the CEO and Trustees. I am delighted to have the opportunity to join the Board of Trustees of Worcester Theatres Charitable Trust. The organisation makes an exceptional contribution to Worcester’s cultural life, and it is a privilege to play a part in supporting its future development and continued success.”
Jan Vale, Trustee at Worcester Theatres said, “I was born and raised in Worcester and remember the Swan Theatre being built. My involvement with Worcester Theatres began 39 years ago when I became a volunteer at both the Swan Theatre and Huntingdon Hall. I later joined the Board as the representative of the Friends of the Swan Theatre and am delighted to have been invited to become a full Trustee. The Board is made up of a diverse, dedicated, and hard-working group of people, and I look forward to becoming even more involved in supporting the organisation.”
