BBC Children in Need Thousand Mile Challenge with Worcester Theatres Sleeping Beauty Pantomime Cast!
6 November 2025
BBC Hereford & Worcester’s Thousand Mile Challenge kicked off in Vines Park, Droitwich Spa, with Sleeping Beauty pantomime cast members Hollie Christian-Brookes and Nathan Blyth from Worcester Theatres. Throughout November, Pudsey has challenged BBC radio stations across the country to attempt to walk a total of one thousand miles, but here’s the catch – they’ll be doing it three-legged! Each BBC radio station took on a total of 25 miles over the 4 and 5 of November 2025.
Fairy Virtue and Fester The Jester kicked off the three-legged 26-mile challenge for BBC Hereford & Worcester at 08:00 GMT on 4 November 2025 in Vines Park Droitwich Spa with BBC presenters Elliott Webb and Malcolm Boyden. The Thousand Mile Challenge route covered both Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The BBC H&W presenters were joined at the ankle in the challenge to other famous faces, and Worcestershire organisation representatives from Wyre Forest Night Stop, Nurture Families, Mentor Link, Malvern Special Families, Worcester Ramblers, Bromsgrove Youth and Community Hub.
BBC Children in Need fund vital support for children and young people struggling with challenges caused by mental health, poverty, social inequality and family-related issues. Across the UK, children and young people continue to face a range of complicated challenges – with many having to cope with lots of issues at once. The Thousand Mile Challenge has helped shine a spotlight on the vital work BBC Children in Need undertake nationwide and within local communities. Worcester Theatres are delighted to support their efforts in aid of such an important cause.
Pudsey and pals are bringing Autumn cheer, heart and sparkle to living rooms across the nation live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7pm Friday 14 November. For more information on The Thousand Mile Challenge for Children in Need or to donate to the fundraiser visit the website bbc.co.uk/walk.
