Our comedy club is back this Autumn with a line-up of stellar acts from the UK comedy circuit!

This months’ club features Chris Brooker, Nick Elleray, Joseph Emslie and headlined by one of our all-time favourites, Ben van Der Velde!

Ben Van der Velde

Ben Van der Velde is a stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter. Over the past few years, has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway. Outside the circuit, Ben has performed a voodoo re-marriage ceremony, founded the Church of the Holy Kazoo with comedy legend Mark Thomas, and walked the entire London Underground network to raise money for The Refugee Council.

Nick Elleray

Aussie Nick Elleray, known for his wickedly dry humour and wry persona, has been bringing the mellow thunder to the UK comedy circuit since 2011.

He’s been in the finals of the NATYs, Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Award, Up The Creek One To Watch Competition, Squawker Awards and was a contender for three years running in the BBC New Comedy Award.

Joseph Emslie

His easy conversational manner, anecdotal, and self-deprecating, style of comedy has helped him secure him some early critical acclaim by taking the runner up place in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2021, twinning this with his other final successes he really is “definitely a name to keep tabs on.” (Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke)

Chris Brooker

A gifted performer, Chris Brooker has taken his unique mix of comedy and improvisation to stages all over the world. After a decade on the UK comedy circuit Chris has forged a fine reputation for himself as a stand-up comedian and compère. His versatility has seen him play to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds, winning them over with his infectious enthusiasm, swift wit and immense likeability. Dubbed comedy’s ginger Viking by a promoter, he really is a larger than life character.

One of comedy’s heavy hitters, Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force. Chris’ combination of hilarious, original material and inspired improvisation means that you will never see the same routine twice. Immensely likeable, there’s no doubting his ability to win over any crowd and drag them along for the ride.
